At long last, the Lancer Evo X will be making its last laps fairly soon. We might have gotten an early glimpse at the final production model, which will have a limited release of just 2,000 vehicles, thanks to the Lancer Evo X Concept Final, which makes its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon. If the Concept Final does indeed prefigure the last Lancer Evo X model, we’ve got plenty to look forward to.

The Concept Final boasts 473 horsepower, with 182 horsepower added by powertrain add-ons and variations. The concept adds a new ECU software, new intake and exhaust systems, better fuel management, an HKS turbo, and more to the powertrain of its 2.0-liter engine and a five-speed manual. With extra suspension and handling technology to boot, this is perhaps the best and most performance-ready Evo X ever.

It’s just too bad it will be gone so soon. So, make sure to follow us closely here at Bell Mitsubishi to keep track of the Evo X as we wait for the final production model to be officially released. We certainly hope that much of the stuff we’ve seen on the Concept Final also make their way to the final model, but there’s only one way to find out for sure.
