It has been quite a ride for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution throughout the years. But now, facing extinction, Mitsubishi has promised one last special edition for connoisseurs in Japan to ride off into the sunset. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition will be the 10th generation of the turbo, all-wheel drive sedan, and it will send the car off in style.
The Lancer Evolution Final Edition features a blacked-out chrome grille and a glossy black bumper bar with multiple hood vents to set it apart from the other Lancers, while the roof panel is available in black or white.
The Evolution rides on 18-inch BBS wheels wrapped in high performance tires, and glides through turns with the upgraded Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs. The 2-liter turbo-charged engine features improvements including sodium-filled exhaust valves while grippy Brembo brakes enhance stopping power.
A “Final Edition” badge is wistfully placed below the emblems on the trunk and since only 1,000 of these will be produced, a special plaque with a serial number adorns the interior console.
The final ride for the Lancer Evolution promises to be an exciting one. For more information on the Lancer and other cars, make a trip into Bell Mitsubishi.
