Looking for fun Halloween events near Rahway? There is a lot to do in the area, from scary haunted houses to pumpkin picking. Halloween is a great time to get out of the house, keeping the kids entertained or going on a romantic date — there’s nothing better than crisp autumn air and a few good scares.
According to New Jersey Haunted Houses, there are a wide range of haunted farms, houses, and mazes in the region. For instance, there’s a child-friendly haunted house in East Hanover, adventure rooms in Montclair, and a Halloween party with DJ Camilo in Elizabeth. You might also take a trip to Passaic to visit the famous Brighton Asylum — a truly scary haunted house.
Looking for something closer to home? There’s a Harvest Festival on Staten Island at the Gateway Church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 31. There’s also a trick-or-treating event with scarecrow contest in New Providence on Nov. 2.
Looking for parades and costume contests? Check out the Fanwood Halloween Parade. Taking place at the Le Grande Park on the evening of Oct. 31, this event lets you participate for the best costume or watch the parade procession. The parade will arrive at La Grande Park around 6:30 p.m., which is also where you can participate in the jack-o-lantern contest.
