For the eighth consecutive month, Mitsubishi has posted year-over-year sales increases. In fact, last month’s Mitsubishi October sales were up 30.5% compared to October of last year. The automaker had its best October since 2008, and those incredible sales figures were largely driven by the Outlander Sport.

The Outlander Sport 5-passenger compact crossover moved 2,468 units last month, making it the brand’s best-selling vehicle. The Outlander Sport has experienced a 24.8% sales increase year-to-date, and has seen a 22.8% increase from last October. In addition to that, Mitsubishi’s success last month was also fueled by sales of the hyper-efficient Mirage (1,374 units) and the sporty Lancer (1,364 units), which both saw their October sales more than double compared to last year.

“The Outlander Sport has been leading the way for the brand in 2014 and Outlander has steadily increased compared to last year,” said Mitsubishi Motors North America Executive Vice President, Don Swearingen. “But our sedans are also doing well with consistently strong Mirage sales and Lancer with a strong showing in October.”
