We’re inching in on an all-electric era. Gas is becoming the way of the past, and there’s never been a better time than now to make the big EV leap. There are quite a few perks of going all-electric with any EV, but the perks of going all-electric with the 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV are seemingly endless.
The 2016 i-MiEV is one of America’s favorite electric cars, a title it earned by providing drivers across the country with simply reliable, highly efficient EVs. The i-MiEV gets an estimated 112 MPGe, which blows even the most fuel-efficient hybrid out of the water. If you really care about ultimate efficiency and reducing your emissions, there’s really no choice but the 2016 i-MiEV.
Some people are turned off from EVs because of charging procedure, but the i-MiEV keeps things simple with its Level 3 DC Quick-Charge Port. This lets you connect to the common CHAdeMO Level 3 public charger and charge your motor 80% in just 30 minutes.
Crossovers and compact SUVs make up a drastically increasing part of today’s auto industry; so, when you see a stand-out in this crowded field, you know that vehicle’s doing something special. One of the day’s biggest and brightest stand-outs is none other than the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander thanks to its impeccable safety standards and impressive list of standard tech and drive features.
Recently, the Outlander earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ title, meaning that it scored a “Good” or better in all five crashworthiness categories (Small Overlap Front, Moderate Overlap Front, Side, Roof Strength, and Head Restraints & Seats) plus an “Advanced” or higher score in Front Crash Prevention. 2016 marks the third year in a row that the Outlander has scored the coveted badge of IIHS Top Safety Pick+.
The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander also sports a variety of innovative features that further set it apart from its small SUV competitors. With its convenient folding 3-row seating, a standard Fuse Hands-Free Link system, and a totally customizable design, the Outlander is prepared to be the ideal vehicle for any driver.
All proceeds will go toward the Pacific South Coast Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. “Through their sponsorship and unprecedented donation we will be able to contribute to MS research that is committed to stopping MS, restoring lost function and ending MS, while we ensure that people affected by multiple sclerosis are surrounded with the resources and support they need to move forward,” said Richard Israel, president of the organization.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition that was won at the auction was the first of 1,600 that will be produced for the United States market, the final goodbye of a legendary sports sedan with a decade of history behind it.
The Final Edition is doing the Evo justice. Each model will feature a unique numbered plaque, lightweight two-piece Brembo brake rotors, Bilstein shocks, Mitsu’s patented Super All-Wheel Control system, and the regular turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine, tuned up to produce extra horsepower. It’ll be sorely missed at Bell Mitsubishi.
This is the third consecutive time the Outlander has received the award. It packs numerous standard safety features, including seven airbags, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Active Stability Control with Traction Control Logic, and Anti-lock braking system with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist.
It also offers advanced safety features like Forward Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control, which keep occupants safe by preventing accidents from occurring in the first place. This had made it very popular among families at Bell Mitsubishi.
The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander earned the Top Safety Pick+ award by receiving the highest-possible safety ratings in all five of the IIHS’s major crashworthiness tests and receiving an “Advanced” score for front crash prevention.
“With over 100 improvements from the previous model year, the 2016 Outlander truly serves as an ambassador for the brand’s dedication to superior safety and reliability,” said Don Swearingen, executive VP.
Dormant since 2003, the Mitsubishi Mirage was all but dead – until the automaker revived the nameplate for 2014. Making its stake in the no-frills, simple, yet reliable subcompact segment, the Mirage is an affordable option for budget-conscious shoppers. Now, Mitsubishi has revealed that the Mirage will see some seriously worthwhile updates for 2017.
According to CheatSheet.com, the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage’s updates include an exterior facelift that ditches the “jellybean” shape of the outgoing model; adds a redesigned instrument panel, dash, and steering wheel; new seats; and an optional upgraded 300-watt Rockford Fosgate stereo system. The 2017 Mirage will also be the first Mitsubishi to come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the hood, we can expect to see Mirage’s 1.2 liter inline-three, which will get a power boost (up to 78 horsepower). Additionally, Mitsubishi has revealed that the Mirage will benefit from bigger brakes and a re-tuned suspension, making it more fun to drive than ever before.
Stay tuned, and check back in with the Bell Mitsubishi Blog often for more updates as they become available!
We’ve all been patiently (or not-so patiently) awaiting the arrival of the much-anticipated Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In. Now, after earning impressive sales in the UK and Europe, it might finally be our turn to get our hands on the incredibly efficient and capable Outlander Plug-In. Better late than never, right?
According to reports, the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In U.S. launch date is scheduled for mid-year, possibly as early as May of 2016.
According to Automotive News, Mitsubishi CEO Osamu Masuko has made it clear that the automaker will focus its resources on a “more compact” lineup following the closing of its only U.S. assembly plant. Mitsubishi will focus on the U.S. availability of the Outlander Plug-In in 2016, along with several new models, including a new small coupe-styled crossover (late 2017), a redesigned Outlander (after 2017), and a next-generation Outlander Sport (possibly for 2019).
“We are strong in SUVs and four-wheel drives. And that is what we would like to focus on as core models in the U.S. market. We have changed direction,” Masuko said to autonews.com. “We are going to allocate more resources to the areas where we are strong in the U.S.”
Look for the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In to be available at Bell Mitsubishi and dealerships nationwide next year!
