Mitsubishi has a strong reputation for designing stunning concept cars, and its newest is no exception. During the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, Mitsubishi introduced the Engelberg Tourer Concept — an adventure-focused, boldly-designed SUV.
Winter weather can create some scenic views you will not find any other time of year. Soft snow and a peaceful atmosphere can change any drive from thrilling to relaxing. Winter wonderland drives near Rahway allow you to make the most of the serenity of the season and take in the sights with your family.
State Route 49
State Route 49 is home to several scenic drives, but the Delaware Memorial Bridge and Delaware River steal the show. The bridge’s bright lights illuminate the river once the sun goes down. The light show, combined with the quiet setting of winter, create a wonderful sight to take in after dark. Drivers can also check out the peaceful winter grasslands of Supawna Meadows Wildlife Refuge along 49.
Stretching more than 3 miles from Newark to Jersey City, the Pulaski Skyway is a beautiful sight in any season, but it’s particularly impressive in the winter. Warehouses, power lines, and train tracks might not seem like the ideal scenery, but it all comes together when you view it from the bridge. At night, the bridge is home to city skylights that few other landmarks can match.
Palisades Interstate Parkway
The Palisades Interstate Parkway opened to the public in 1958. Rockefeller Lookout and Alpine Lookout offer some of the greatest views that New Jersey has to offer. Although the winter weather is far from a desirable time to picnic, drivers can still enjoy the open landscape with snowy scenery.
If you plan on heading out and enjoying the sights this winter, be sure to drive safely. For the added confidence of a vehicle with Super All-Wheel Control, stop in and see us at Bell Mitsubishi!
Catching a glimpse of one of your favorite vehicles on the silver screen leaves a lasting impression. Moviegoers and car-lovers enjoy seeing their favorite vehicles playing a role in a motion pictures. Here are a few of our favorite movies with Mitsubishis in them.
The Fast and the Furious
You’ve probably heard of The Fast and the Furious, but you might not remember the details of how it all began. Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) gets behind the wheel of a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS as a part of a sting operation. Ultimately (spoilers incoming), O’Conner loses the race to Dominic (Vin Diesel). In the end, the Eclipse GS is destroyed, leaving his supervisor, Special Agent Bilkins, with an $80,000 bill to pay. Whoops!
The Hunter is a drama and thriller about a mercenary sent to hunt down the last Tasmanian tiger. The main character Martin drives a Mitsubishi Pajero. The model appears to be a 2010 edition and makes several appearances throughout the movie.
Jackie Chan’s Who Am I?
Jackie Chan’s Who Am I? was sponsored by Mitsubishi, as were many of Jackie Chan’s late-1990’s films. In the movie, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR takes the lead in a fierce chase. The Japanese sports car is pursued by multiple BMW 3 Series. The movie actually involves multiple Lancer Evolution cars because the stunts were so grueling to execute.
